I read an article a little bit ago that talked about a milestone in a childs development being empathy. A few days ago, something happened to set Christopher off. He was pretty upset and crying and Roxanne could not attend to him for the moment. So in a few minutes as he was no longer crying, Roxanne peeked in to see what was going on (we are getting more afraid of quiet babies than noisy babies...)
Well, when she looked, she could see that Anastasia was sitting beside Christopher with her hand on his leg as if she was soothing him and saying "that's alright brother, it will be OK" and he had calmed down.
So it seems that our little girl might be displaying empathy in helping to calm down her upset brother. When Roxanne told me about it i got almost a little weepy eyed. Such a sweet moment.

its so great to see a picture again. particularly one like this one. It warms the cockles of your heart.
