Happy 11 months from the Gillespie Twins!

Well, as with all the birthday photos thus far, there is a great back story. So we got out the golden disney ears to warm them up for their upcoming 1 year birthday trip to disneyland and wanted to sit them on the couch and see if we could get them to laugh. In order to do this, Roxanne remembered a little toy that Aunt Rachel and Cousin Michelle had sent a few months back. there was a duck and a horse puppet "thing" that when you opened and closed the mouth made an "animal appropriate" sound. We had put them away as the noises kind of frightened the babies. Well, the noises no longer frighten the babies. Christopher started laughing so hard that he started falling off the couch. As we are trying to squeeze off the perfect picture, we have to balance between him laughing hysterically, her staring at him trying to figure out what is going on and him leaning forward to grab the duck.
All in all though, cute pics.

Our little goofy guy.

His sister is all about sittin and standin and crawlin... he prefers to take it easy. I feel he is just givin us a rest for when he decides to get up and start RUNNING!!!

Damm is he cute though!

A little better Standing shot.

Here we go... this should be a little clearer

She sure has the "lookin proud" thing down pat.

Unsupported by us!

Ok... We put her up. But she held herself up!

Gettin closer

Her Balance is improving. With less and less support she can stay up. Although she is a little wobbly!

Comfort is as comfort does!

So Roxanne goes down to their room to ensure that they are OK, and to slip on their sleep sacks as it has now cooled off. I hear her calling to me so i go to see what is going on.

And there, outside Anastasias crib, illuminated by the gentle glow of Roxannes Cell phone i see this!

It seems our little girl has gotten some odd genetic trait whereby she must sleep in the corner of her crib tightly pressed to the wall, and apparently her leg still felt it needed to go somewhere odd.

Remind you of anything Mom and Dad?

(apologies for the poor image quality, her cell phone was our light source!)

Playing together

I swear, we could put them on opposite sides of the room and they will still end up tripping over each other...

Oh to be as comfortable as a baby!

Only a baby could make this position look comfortable! how he got there, I have no idea.

The obligitory baby wearing a grown up hat shot...

Anastasia kept grabbing at my hat so i thought i would just put it on her. Darn it all if it didn't look really cute!
Within about 2 minutes of course, it was off her head and in her hands and she was chewing on it

2-Fisting it already!

Our little girl is already a two fisted drinker... Sniff, sniff, I couldn't be prouder!

Babies first biscuit.

Mommy took a shot at giving them their first biscuit. Overall they seemed to like it, but see below for the end result. They seem to suck on things pretty well, but the whole swallowing thing needs work!

Here's what happens when a Slobbery baby gets a biscuit...

Well, i think he liked the teething biscuit... but we seem to need one that won't dissolve as fast!

And finally the signs!

Sign one... We are pretty much done, the babies have just about had it.

Sign two... Time is up!

Outtakes cont.

What about just plain goofy looks?

Ten months... the outakes

What would it be if they did not drive us nuts with all sorts of missed shots. It never ceases to amaze me how fast they can move their heads away. Here are a few examples.

Happy ten month Birthday!

Once again, a fun day in the park trying to get the kids to smile (at the same time) At this point, the crazy people just walk by and nod at us and hurry away. Next time we are bringing more toys to wave at them. (the babies that is)

Also a big shout out to Auntie Rachel and Cousin Michelle for the cute outfits.
