Their five month birthday was also the first foray into a new area... Solid food! I am sure the fun is only beginning on this one! It has been a few days and thus far Roxanne has not had to wear much food.
We shall see how it goes! They do seem to like it though.
(we plan to hold off on the happy meal as long as possible though)

5 month babies in their bumbos
The taking of these pictures was interesting. We could get each baby to look at us, but trying to get the two of them to look at the same time... Fun! I am reasonably sure that a call to the local looney bin went out while we were taking all the pictures. As we danced around, and whistled/clapped/sang/made funny faces/waved arms/did anything we could to get them to look at us, I think I saw a few people walking by looking at us strangely and slowly reaching for their phones.
Anyways, enjoy. The bumbos help to hold them in place, now if we could just figure out how to not have to take 200 pictures to get 5 good ones. (thank god for digital cameras and not having to get all those 200 developed)

Happy five month Birthday!
Well, we wanted to take them out to the park to get some pictures on their five month birthday. We got some good shots as you see here, however we are learning how much fun it is to get a baby to look in your direction! I should say TRY to get a baby (forget two) to look in your direction!
(You should see the outtakes!)
What do you think these things are made of?
What is the baby thinking?
So, lets see who can come up with a clever bubble for what the baby is thinking? BOth of these pictures have such cute expressions, i wanted to see what everybody out there can come up with as a clever thought. So... all you lurkers who apparently are enjoying the pictures but never commenting... heres your chance! Great prizes await :)

The value of pictures
Right now, this picture is very important. At any time when a child is driving you nuts it is nice to think of them at the opposite of that moment.
You see, Anastasia woke us up at 2:30 in the am, and then kept us awake for a while. She did this by obsessing over her pacifier, and just generally squawking in a very loud voice. Then we got them up at 7 (she was already up and had kept daddy awake since 6) to feed them. After the feeding her brother fell asleep again and I have spent the last two hours sitting with my foot on a damn bouncy chair keeping her moving. If I stop, nobody will sleep.
So it is important to have pictures like this that I can look at and marvel at how beautiful and precious my two little babies are. And to be reminded that she does indeed sleep sometimes.
Ah but I love them both so.
